Popular Tooth Replacement Options

Have you read about the impact of missing teeth on your oral health and decided that it is time to choose a tooth replacement option? We know that it is an extremely difficult and personal decision to replace a tooth. We want to assure our patients that, at Pollard Dental, we work with each and every person to make sure they are informed about each replacement option and help them in every way to make their decision. We are happy to answer any and all questions that come our way. We wanted to take a moment to give a brief explanation of some of the tooth replacement options we offer.

Dental Implants
If you are looking for a permanent tooth replacement option that will need little to no maintenance, this might be the option for you. Although this is a more involved treatment, it is popular among many patients. This multi-step treatment uses artificial tooth roots that are surgically implanted into the jawbone and provide a permanent base for a replacement tooth such as a crown.

Dentures and Partial Dentures
This economical option can replace an entire mouth of missing teeth or a few missing teeth. We work with you to create a product that is natural looking. For a more secure option, Dr. Pollard can explain implant supported dentures, which use a combination of implant technology with dentures to give a more permanent feel while still allowing the dentures to be removed if needed.

Porcelain Bridge
This option can be used to replace one or multiple teeth. Using similar concepts to a bridge you would drive over, stable teeth on either side of missing teeth are used to hold porcelain teeth in place. This can be made even more stable with the use of dental implants as the anchor on either side of the bridge.
