Are You Delaying Treatment?
Were you or a loved one recommended a treatment during a recent visit to our office but haven’t yet made an appointment? If so, we encourage you to call today to schedule your appointment. We know that life is busy, between work, school, sports, family obligations, and other activities, but it is important to make your oral health a priority. When you delay or postpone a treatment, it can lead to serious complications with your oral health. Even if you have not delayed your dental treatment or received a diagnosis, we encourage you to learn more about what can happen if you are in this situation in the future. Read on to learn more.
The Importance of Receiving Recommended Treatments
Did we recommend a dental treatment, but you have yet to schedule your appointment to receive it? If so, it is extremely important that you visit our office soon. We know that life is busy, and it can be difficult to make it to the office. However, your oral health should be a priority. You only have one set of permanent teeth that are meant to last a lifetime, and if they are not cared for properly, you can experience complications.
Dental problems, such as decay, gum disease, and oral cancer, do not heal on their own. In fact, these issues will continue to worsen until you are living with extreme discomfort, experiencing tooth loss, or dealing with a dental emergency. Our goal is to help you have excellent oral health, and to do that, we have to treat any problems that arise as soon as they are detected. It would be a shame if a treatment for a filling were delayed and the decay grew so much that we would instead need to perform a dental crown or, if the decay moved deep inside the tooth, a root canal.
Be Honest
If you haven’t scheduled your appointment due to nerves or feelings of uncertainty, please be honest when you speak to our team. We never judge or have any ill feelings towards anyone who is nervous or experiences anxiety about visiting our office or receiving treatment. We want to do all we can to help you get the care you need and deserve. Depending on the severity of your anxiety, we may recommend dental sedation to help you feel relaxed during treatment.
If you need to schedule an appointment for yourself or a loved one or are interested in learning more about sedation dentistry, we encourage you to contact our office, which is located in Silverdale, WA. We hope to see you soon!
